Our founder, Frank, spent a lifetime working in large-scale infrastructure, fabrication, and manufacturing. He also spent a lifetime loving road trips. In 2016, he took one, passing through Minnesota as he made his way to New York. 

He stopped off at a picturesque campground, and what he found there sparked new ideas. He watched as a fifth wheel gracefully lowered itself to make entry and exit easier.

On the same trip, he spotted a truck drive onto the surface of a frozen lake, trailer in tow. The driver skillfully unhitched the trailer, which turned out to be a fishing house designed for winter anglers.

The driver lowered this trailer, too. And Frank began to ask himself: Can I improve on this design? 

Frank wasn’t just intrigued, he was inspired. GoodMFG® was born.

Good Innovations

Frank transformed his passion for hauling into a research deep dive into other trailer companies. He got to know every feature and process, because his vision was to create a smart, sustainable trailer that delivered something new while improving the lives of every buyer.

Soon, the dream began to take shape.

First, Frank figured out how to standardize the mass production of high-quality, insulated, lightweight one-piece aluminum panels. GoodMFG®’s composite aluminum panels are the first of their kind for trailers, providing:

• More structural integrity
• Sound dampening
• Waterproofing
• Fire-resistance

Best of all, these panels allowed Frank to begin customizing the size and locations of windows and doors—all without weakening the structural integrity of the panel.

Phase 2 involved developing an exclusive hydraulic drop deck and hydraulic control options that would allow GoodMFG® trailers to go as low as a trailer can go—almost all the way to the ground, lower even than the trailers that inspired Frank in the first place. 

The result? A trailer that takes the hassle out of hauling.

Finally, Frank developed Good Modular Structures. Fully customizable, these structures allow you to create office space, storage space, backyard crafting sheds, or relaxing retreats. Each structure is built with a galvanized steel frame and our composite aluminum panels. Stackable and linkable, these products have changed the way people respond to emergencies, build satellite classrooms or offices, create portable event restrooms, and more.
