Meet the Award-Winning Stackable Trailer

This year, Good Manufacturing is proud to announce that we’ve won the 2025 NPSA Portable Storage Award in the Innovation Category for our Good Stackable Trailer design.

The 2025 Award of Excellence, NPSA, Innovation
Awarded at the NPSA 2025 Conference and Trade Show

This 19-foot stackable trailer prototype is designed for traveling teams who need semi-permanent mobile office structures and temporary housing for long-term projects in remote areas and emerging markets.

The Set-Up

While fully customizable, our standard configuration for this unit adds a bed, bath, and shower to the top unit, making it possible to maintain both an office space and an apartment in a single, seamless structure.

To create this stackable trailer, we combine several key innovations into one, powerful package. A hydraulic drop deck provides seamless, accessible ground-level entry, complemented by a low-grade attached ramp that folds and secures for transit. A foldable tow bar preserves storage and site space while reducing one of the safety hazards commonly associated with trailer tow bars.

It’s built with patent-pending composite aluminum panels which provide insulation. The panels, backed by a 15-year structural warranty, synergize with galvanized steel framing to create a durable mobile office capable of serving users over the long haul (in both senses of the word).

Tinted windows provide additional options for light and temperature control. We also offer an optional mini split AC; a unit like this one would be the perfect candidate for this add-on.

At GoodMFG®, we’re always thinking in terms of keeping our products modular and customizable. These two watchwords continue to drive our creativity as we search for solutions to portable storage problems of every kind.

Hauling

While the trailers cannot be hauled in stacking mode, it is easy to raise and lower the top unit with a simple forklift. A skilled professional can install and secure the corner casters.

Once assembled, the structure is ready to serve the needs of the job site for months.

It includes plumbing and electrical hook-ups.

Assembly

Patented corner casters secure the lower floor to the upper floor, instantly creating a single, sturdy, stable, and seamless two-story structure.

Users can walk around the second floor of the stackable trailer. We’ve observed no shuddering and no shaking when we’ve tested it out.

It’s beautiful inside, too.

Designed to make sure users won’t feel like they’re working and living in a trailer. Instead, the idea is to make them feel like they’re inhabiting a sleek, modern apartment and office combo.

Putting it to Work

Members of the global infrastructure development, construction, and energy industries have traditionally relied on mobile office trailers to address shelter and workplace demands during long-term projects in remote, underserved areas, as have research teams.

Until now, members of this industry either had to hope they could find affordable near-site accommodations (a tall order in many areas of the world) or invest in temporary housing and mobile office space.

The stackable trailer would offer rapid deployment and reduced set-up times.

Thank You, NPSA!

We’re so excited that NPSA saw the value in this design. We look forward to providing many more innovative solutions to our customers and partners.
